SINGLE MOM MOVES INTO TINY HOUSE VILLAGE WITH HER DAUGHTER TO LIVE SIMPLY
Tiny House owners are mostly women, unlike #vanlife! Why are Tiny Homes popular with women? I think Tiny Houses are popular because, unlike most economical housing options, they’re pretty and customized, which ladies enjoy. Affordable housing is crucial for single moms who support themselves and their children.
A single mother moves with her daughter into a little house. TOUR IT:
Single mom Erin was tired of paying expensive rent for a spacious San Diego apartment. She envisioned a simpler, cheaper country existence for herself and her daughter Paulina (10). She saw an ad for a new Tiny House hamlet in the mountains outside the city. She took advantage and leased a village Tiny House for a long time.
Sacrificing for kids
Erin gave up creature comforts to move into a Tiny House from their spacious apartment. She downsized and gave Paulina the Tiny House master suite to accommodate her stuffed animals and snake vivarium.
Erin sleeps in the tiny, ladder-accessible loft. She sleeps on a plush chair that expands into a bed cushion and keeps some of her items adjacent to her bed. Erin’s favorite area of the house, the balcony, is crawlable from this single mom’s loft.
Erin also found this convenient, cheap dining table and chairs set on Amazon. She and Paulina may sit down and eat family dinners on its wheels and foldable design. The multi-purpose table set serves as a workstation and TV stand (they stream Netflix on their lap top for movie evenings).
Solo Mom Tiny Home
Erin has adjusted her daily routine without a TV, dishwasher, or oven. She air fries everything, brews coffee in a storable pour-over, and shares a small closet with the girls.
