It is needless to say that not all houses are homes. A house means solely a structure, while home is filled with family warmth and fond memories. Today’s article is about Peter Larson who inherited an old farmhouse from his great-great-grandpa dating back to the 1860s.

The house had been empty since 1977 when his grandfather passed away. It became quite clear even at first sight that it urgently needed a reconstruction and was no more serviceable. Peter simply couldn’t leave it abandoned and started to pour his soul and heart to bring it back to life.

Peter saved the foundation stones. Back then, houses were built on mortar which was made with lime and sand. One may say that it was far not the most reliable choice. The reconstruction process didn’t involve heavy machinery and lots of hired workers.

It took the family no less than 4 years to complete the renovation and ultimately get the most stunning house ever.
