Candace Cameron Bure posts tribute after death of her dog: ‘Life isn’t the same’

Candace Cameron Bure is deeply mourning the loss of a cherished member of her family and beloved companion.

On August 21st, the renowned “Full House” actor tenderly announced the passing of her loyal canine companion, Boris, through a heartfelt video shared on Instagram. The touching tribute encapsulates precious moments and memories, featuring snapshots and footage of Boris from his playful puppy days to his later years as a beloved and stalwart presence in the actor’s household.

The video tenderly captures Boris frolicking outdoors, snuggling affectionately with the actor, relishing in outdoor adventures, and engaging in spirited games of tug-of-war.

“Losing you, Boris, has left an irreplaceable void in our lives,” Bure expressed in the poignant caption accompanying the video, titled “In loving memory of Boris.” “Your spirit will forever reside in our hearts and recollections. You bestowed upon us immeasurable love, protection, and joy. You were truly one-of-a-kind,” she continued. “Our hearts ache with your absence, but we find solace in knowing that you now frolic with Emma, Sydney, Gianna, Lola, and Samson, my dear Bobo.”

In the comments section of the post, an outpouring of condolences and support flooded in from fans and friends, including heartfelt messages from fellow actors and personalities.

“Sending you prayers and love during this difficult time,” wrote “The Wonder Years” actor Danica McKellar, alongside prayer emojis.

“Oh, Candace! Your profound love for Boris was palpable. My deepest sympathies for your loss,” expressed Food Network host Aarti Sequeira.

Even Bure’s daughter, Natasha Bure, shared her grief, reflecting, “My Sery June, the best dog I’ll ever have.”

Apart from Natasha, Bure, together with her husband, renowned ice hockey player Valeri Bure, shares two other children, Lev Valerievich Bure and Maksim Valerievich Bure.

In 2021, Bure added another accolade to her repertoire by publishing her third children’s book, “Candace’s Playful Puppy.” The heartwarming tale follows a young girl’s journey to a pet shelter, where she discovers the profound love and responsibility required in caring for a furry friend.

Reflecting on the project in an interview with TODAY, the actor humorously explained why Boris wasn’t depicted in the book. “Boris could sometimes appear intimidating due to his size and breed, so we opted not to include a character resembling him in the illustrations,” she chuckled.
