Examining Trump’s Mental State Amidst a 47-Post Truth Social Meltdown
Prominent conservative attorney George Conway has raised concerns regarding Donald Trump’s mental health in the aftermath of a 47-post social media outburst. The focus of Trump’s posts was E. Jean Carroll, who had previously succeeded in a legal suit against him. Conway has underscored the absence of a national discourse on Trump’s mental well-being and has emphasized the interconnectedness of Trump’s criminality, authoritarian tendencies, narcissism, and psychopathy.
In response to a defamation lawsuit dismissal, Trump took to Truth Social, making multiple posts wherein he professed ignorance about Carroll and impugned her credibility. These posts followed a court’s denial of Trump’s request to postpone Carroll’s impending second defamation trial.
The Truth Social incident coincided with significant legal developments, including the U.S. Court of Appeals rejecting Trump’s attempt to delay Carroll’s trial, scheduled to commence in a fortnight. Conway, who unofficially diagnosed Trump with narcissistic personality disorder in 2020, encountered dissent from psychiatrist Allen Frances, who cautioned against characterizing Trump’s conduct as indicative of mental illness.
