Today’s hero became a guy who determined to radically transform his mother-in-law’s apartment beyond recognition considering the fact it was last renovated decades ago. Its condition left a lot to be desired, so his wife and he didn’t waste time and rushed to delight the woman by the restoration.
She didn’t want us to change the previous layout since she was fully satisfied with it. Yet, she was unhappy with the cosmetic part as well. In order to get the most desirable results, the spouses were quick to hire a professional interior designer.
A muted mint shade was chosen for the wall in the entrance area, while brick-colored tiles were used for the flooring. Wooden panels were chosen to decorate the walls on which hooks for outerwear were installed. A floating console, a backlit mirror and a black ottoman were also installed here. They also installed a spacious closet on the opposite wall.
The flooring in the kitchen area is the same as the hallway. There is a kitchen unit to the right at the entrance. The wall behind the set was painted a pleasant light green shade. The upper facades were made of wood and the lower ones were painted classic white.
Parquet boards were laid on the floor in the living room. There is a large gray sofa with a TV area. The wall behind the sofa was painted orange. There are also open and closed sections here. In the back of the room another extra sleeping place was organized.
Shelves and cabinets were made on the sides. Much storage space was one of the main requirements for the remodel.
What concerns the bedroom, the walls there were not painted, but covered with two types of wallpaper. One can see a chest of drawers and opposite it there is a spacious closet for things. A large double bed found its place in the center. The bed also has a lifting mechanism with extra storage space.
The new owners decided to have a separate bathroom and toilet. On the floor there are still the same hexagonal brick-colored tiles. White and gray tiles imitating brick were used for the walls. The cabinet under the sink was made hanging.
