One recently divorced woman moved into her grandmother’s old house and transformed it beyond recognition
People called me a «loser» when I divorced my husband and moved into my grandma’s house! 😅👎 They had no idea what I was going to do with it, so I «hit» them with the final results! 😎👏They were literally jaw-dropping which you too can see in this article! 👇
Today’s article is about one woman who has divorced just recently and had to endure other people’s mockery and judgement. Especially after her decision to move into the house that she had inherited from her grandmother, people laughed at her even more.
The house is in a building which was constructed back in the 19th century and which urgently needed a radical repair. The new owner liked the interior all in all, so she decided on minor changes which gave the apartment a fresher and more modern look.
It all started with a small redevelopment and an increase in the first floor (after some manipulations, it was possible to increase it from 80 square meters to 85). A decision was made to create a large public space where it would be convenient to gather with friends and relatives.
The floor is wooden, and they decided to paint the walls white to visually enlarge the space. The windows were completely replaced, and a kitchen set with dark facades was placed near the largest window.
The owner found it appropriate to create a modern interior, but planned to preserve the history of the house. Therefore, some of her grandmother’s furniture remained here, and the owner and the designer also decided to leave the brick walls to emphasize the historical appearance of the house.
They decided to restore the staircase that leads to the second floor, since it was in need of repair. One can see drawers for storage here too. The second floor is occupied by 3 bedrooms and a bathroom.
The master bedroom previously boasted an antique fireplace, which had not functioned for many years, so they decided to get rid of it and create a storage system in its place.
From the master bedroom one can exit onto a French balcony. And from the ground floor you can get to the backyard, where there is a spacious barn, a vegetable garden and recreation areas.
